It it is thin enough you can try shaking the case a bit to see you can get it to settle on the bottom. I actually have a slab with a small thin piece of debris where I did this and it is totally fine (a PC book for me). It may work or it may not, but either way you still have a slab with a shard in the case. Since you bought it on Ebay, I would contact the seller and get compensation for the amount of the reholder. If he tells you to go make hay just return the slab at his cost. I am sure there are other copies of this book out there. To be fair to the seller, the shard may have moved around in transit when the slab was shipped. If it's an older-style holder, you might even be able to get a piece of paper in through the side seams in the outer case and jog the shard out. Worth a shot. So update ... yesterday I tapped the tue side of the case firmly with 2 fingers 3 times and the "shard" () disappeared. SCORE!!! EBAY seller got 5 stars(me jumping to conclusions... bad Lurker bad) and I'm a happy man!!! So next time someone has this question I'll tell em to tap that shish lighly but firmly a few times. Lol you didn't say that you had to tap it from the bottom, if you want it to fall that way, which may be obvious to some But thanks for the tip!
