Nana by Emile Zola  Pocket Books No. 104    16th Printing October 1946      $15  SOLD to Goldust40

The first nipple cover, and first real controversial sexy cover, by the staid Pocket Books no less. Some say it led to the whole GGA movement in pbs.

A very nice copy for such a thick (over 500 pages) book, no creases, lamination is 99% there, although lifting is spots, a few small wear spots. You gotta have one.

The Fire Goddess by Sax Rohmer   Gold Medal 283.      PBO  First Print December 1952    $20

The second Sumuru novel.  Beautiful Good Girl art in the style of, if not by, Barye Phillips.

From the collection I just bought, it's almost identical to the last one I sold. Solid, square with glossy bold covers. Light edgewear to the spine, a few finger bends to the edges.

Murder Out Of Mind by Ken Crossen (Kendall Foster Crossen)   Five Star Mystery No. 2   PBO 1st Edition   1945  $35

Incredible flaming skull cover on this rare 1940's detective digest.

Very nice for such a thin paper cover digest. Light creasing around the edges, tiny chip at base of spine

The Year's Best Horror Stories Series VI Edited By Gerald W. Page   Daw Books No. 297  1st Printing July 1978    $35  SOLD to Johnenock

A stunning copy of what seems to be the rarest book in this series, likely due to the Michael Whelan cover, Stephen King's "Children of the Corn" and the first book publication or first publication anywhere, of stories by Karl Edward Wagner, Manley Wade Wellman, Charles Grant etc.

Near perfect NM/M copy, barely a mark anywhere.
