Avengers #55 VF/NM: $200

1st full Ultron

Looks NM- but there is a small tear/paper pull near the lower staple on the back cover. The staple has not pulled through the cover, it's still firmly attached to the book but the defect is there.

Les Vengeurs #1 NM- : $2,000

Black and White French Canadian reprint of Avengers #4. This issue is almost impossible to find in decent shape due to poor quality paper, inside pages and covers are made of material similar to newspaper. I had a VF+ copy of this book that I sold a few years ago but it was not as gorgeous as this one. This copy could be the best existing copy in the world. Not in an hurry to sell this one as I know I will never find a copy as nice as this.

Note that the black marks on right edge are printing defects that are present on all copies of this issue.

Captain America #167 former CGC NM 9.4: $40

Along with #144 and #161, this is one of the toughest BA Cap to find in high grade (black cover, that is). I cracked this book in order to put it in my collection but found a better raw copy. I kept the label though and it will be included with the comic.

I would personally rather grade this book as NM- 9.2. Still a gorgeous copy of a tough issue. The book was graded in 2007, no grader notes unfortunately but it was not pressed. Last GPA sale for a CGC 9.4 was $100 in April 2024.

These Canadian/French editions are so cool!  I remember the first time I saw l’incroyable hulk and I was blown away.  The cover artist just gave him a little bit of a serge gainsbourg hair do and I was like “HE’S SO FRENCH NOW.” I love the small changes when the art is redone.
