Going thru my collection that has been in storage for many years, I came across a Uncanny X-men 325 (1995). Book is easily a 9.8.. but as I was going thru the pages I stumbled on what seems to be some sort of inserted bonus cards by Fleer called Marvel Overpower.

It contains a Loki card

Now I have never been into these card games so I have no idea of value but my question is how does CGC deal with inserts like this? I certainly have no plans to remove these inserts if this impacts the grade of the book itself...

Thx!!

If it is an actual part of the book it has to be present or the book will/should recieve a qualified Green Label such as books missing the Tatooz or MVS would be graded.

If the card/insert is loose and not attached to the book it has no bearing on the books grade, if it is loose do not send it with the book to be graded or it will be disposed of by CGC.

Just an FYI, FMV for this book is around $10.00 and is probably not worth grading, according to Go Collect, FMV for a CGC graded NM+ 9.6 is $42.00. A Mylite W/Acid Free Board or a UV Protected Frame will protect your book as well as a CGC slab unless you want the official CGC label, however, there are no guarantees you will recieve a NM/MT 9.8.

Appreciate the feedback... I was actually basing a CGC 9.8 FMV using GPAnalysis showing the last 9.8 sold for $100 in July of 2024 but there is no mention of any card which threw me off a bit. I's actually attached to the book along with a second card (advertisement) wrapped in plastic wrap and again the only reason I scanned thru the book is wondering why it was thicker and stumbled on it...

Thx Again!!!
