I'd appreciate someone's opinion about the condition of this book and how much the damage to the upper left corner would take away from this copy of Spawn Batman.

Color breaking crease in the right lower corner of the front cover already likely puts it in 7.5 range given that it’s a modern so the color loss on the spine may drop it another point. They really hammer for ink loss.

I suspected that may be the case. I bought this online, the defects weren't visible in the photos and it was described as NM-. I was disappointed when I opened the box. At least the store does have free returns. I'm learning. Maybe best to steer clear of books with black covers unless I can see them in person.
