  1. I think it has to be at least a 3.5 to be eligible for qualified.
  2. I’ve used comicbase for the past 16 years and love it as a database, but don’t use it for prices. For realtime values, I look up eBay sold sells and GPA for graded books. When no sales are available, I’ll look at overstreet.
  3. I’m thinking it is more a 8.5/9.0. I can’t tell for sure, but the corners also look to be somewhat blunted. But that is a subjective opinion.
  4. I got the MASK Camaro toy in my Easter basket one year. If I remember correctly, it broke apart the same day. 😆
  5. Yeah. It’s been my experience that they price things closer to what the actual grade is, not the grade they advertise. Getting a NM at a VF price is because it’s probably a VF.
  6. I prefer the older cases. I have a high dollar Batman comic in a newer case that shifts around in the case. Never had that problem with the older ones.
  7. I think cgc may refer to this as a stacking crease. If so, they don’t tend to deduct much from the grade for them, and, as has already been mentioned, they can be pressed out.
  8. I have my long boxes on heavy duty plastic pallets designed for factories that can hold a lot of weight but not absorb water. They are about 6-7 inches high. Saved most of my collection when the house flooded a few years ago. Only Lost some comics that were in boxes on the floor. I also have them in a place that doesn’t have any pipes of any kind overhead in the ceiling.
  9. I tried to stop by there last year but the store wasn’t open even though it was well beyond opening hours. I tried calling the business number and only got voicemail. Was really hoping to go, but they may keep erratic hours.
  10. I stopped by metropolis last year, and it is an internet only business now. No storefront.
  11. It was given out for free at a small comic convention in Youngstown oh last year I believe.
  12. I used to watch this guy on YouTube until it became apparent that he is all about altering books to get a higher grade. He uses light box and other methods. Also thinks that Joey post doesn’t know what he is doing. That last statement should speak volumes.
  13. I think the discrepancy is because marvelmaniac is giving the Overstreet Grading Criteria, which I find to be more conservative than cgc.
  14. Thanks everyone! @joeyposthas already worked his magic on another one of my books a few years ago.
  15. Hi everyone. I have a bats 357 that has a spine crease/bend that can only be seen when tilting the cover (this is the reason for the glare in the picture; it is hard to get it to show). It is a moderate crease of about 1 cm. Approximate how much of a grade reduction would this crease result in assuming there are no other defects. Appreciate the advice and direction.

    $5.99?

My limit was $3.99. Now that they are going above that price point I’m largely going to drop most pulls from dc and focus on image and other publishers. Digital is not an option for me. My guess is that other companies will rise and fill in the void if the big two implode. I know they don’t own the popular characters of the big two but I’d rather still be able to read and collect comics versus just reading a digital file.
