Not a bad idea. I would rather have that 6.5 than an 8.5 with poor QP.

I agree with you that it looks like it should have been graded higher. There is an impression of "50¢" on the cover which I expect brought it down. Evidently the person from whom I bought this a long time ago had decided to write on his price sticker after he placed it on the comic bag with the comic inside and that is what caused this. This will not show up in a scan and cannot be seen unless you turn the book at the right angle under strong enough lighting. I can send you a hi-res scan if you would like one anyway.

Pretty aggressive opening bid for a CGC 6.5.

 

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure because I don't follow this book. Anyone know GPA on this book in this grade? Now I'm curious.

 

Its actually not that far off if you treat the opening bid as a reserve. The book averages out to US $352.55, with slight fluctuations. I would consider anything in the $325-350 range fmv on this book. Heck, if that was the buy-it-now I might have hit the BIN... thumbsup2.gif

But what are the very latest prices? I could swear I've seen CGC 5.5-6.5 copies on the downswing...

 

My mistake... I could have sworn I thought it was a 6.5 and I was looking at the 6.5 figures... foreheadslap.gif

 

The average for a 6.0 is a little under $315, and the low is $256.55
