I just sniped this baby from someone with just under 10 seconds to go

Er, not quite ...

A few minutes before auction end:

1) Login to eBay.

2) Open two browser windows with the auction's main page.

3) Scroll down to the bidding section on one.

4) Enter your max bid.

5) Hover your arrow over the "Place Bid" button.

6) LEAVE THE MOUSE ALONE UNTIL THE VERY END!

7) Switch to other window using keyboard shortcuts (ALT-TAB on Windoze).

8) Refresh. Refresh. Refresh. Refresh. (F5 on Windoze).

9) Seven seconds before auction end (or until the sweat rolling off your brow gets to be too much), switch back to the previous window using the keyboard, click mouse (already hovering over the correct area) to place bid, confirm ....

10) TAKE HOME TREASURE!

Buy Merlin AuctionMagic ($12.95) and get tons of apps including Snipe.

Absolutely incredible suite of auction tools, free updates and all the snipes you can enter.

I use AuctionMagic and for $12.95

Is that a one-time fee (I take it by "free updates" it is)? That sounds like a pretty good deal if so...
