The "UNholiest" grail...

It was Batman #2 for me. I was collecting Batman 2 through 100, so I guess #2 was the grailiest of them all. (I already had 3, 5, 9, 11, etc.) Bought it from the dentist through a CBG ad in GD+ for $220. Today's standards I think it would be a VG or VG-. Sold it in 1988 to Harley.

 

To me Conan epitomizes the bronze age. Since I like thinking of the bronze age as being just as much about non-superheroes as superheroes, I like to have BA start with Conan #1. I think it would be hard to read the first 24 and not be a fan. Especially if you live in the north. I always felt an extra connection to Conan that way.
