Hey! I'm not old yet, but quickly approaching thirty...not a very Smurfy age if you ask me! And here's a hint...this is only my second post ever (and under any ID) here on the CGC boards, but darthweasel (assuming this ID is the same person as Darthdiesel?) bought a book from me in the last month...

Well, the auction was finally pulled...I guess some people just can't take a joke (or, for that matter, recognize one)...of course, on the other hand, it could have been pent-up animosity for spending $700 on a Spawn #1...I guess I'd be pretty bunged up after that one, too...oh well, que sera sera

So I found out that the auction was pulled because I had to point out to one of the bidders that the auction was a joke...and apparently, no "joke" auctions are permitted under eBay "guidelines"...go figure! I would think they wouldn't really care as long as they get their fees, but that's not the case apparently...oh well.

And just FYI...I know "darthweasel" outside of this board, and he's really not a bad guy...he's just really adamant about comics being intended for reading, and he feels that slabbed books remove all functionality from the comic book...something like that...he means well, but he can be a bit scathing at the same time...

Totally unrelated question...snizzenwhatzit is under the impression that I use another handle here and that I restore books and pass them off as unrestored (and he mentioned a Hulk 181)...any idea what he is talking about?

Oh, and I believe that "me" page was made in response to the mepage I mentioned in the auction...(and no, I am not darthweasel, either)...
