X-men #2 Weekend Gross

Initial Estimates are that X-men #2 will have the 3rd biggest weekend gross ever:

early estimates peg it at 90 million for the weekend with 32.5 on Friday (2nd biggest ever) and 33.3 on Saturday.

 

If X2 does similar to X1 overall (and of course that's a big and early if), that means it should end up around $250 mil.

Yeah, that "reality" inflation-adjusted list is a blast, and I still can't believe that 101 Dalmations is 11th on the list. I would have thought Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty or Bambi would be ahead of it. Those old Disney flicks sure were a money-machine back then, with 5 in the Top 25 all-time.

 

Also, the inflation-adjusted figures to opening-weekend shows what a new phenomenon this is, where heavy advertising lets movies gross half their overall take in the first 2-3 days.
