Marvel's EPIC Illustrated magazine

One thing I'll say is that it's a cool series to have. While most issues emphasize art over writing, the art is amazing at times, and virtually every major artist contributed at one time or another: Frazetta, Adams, Jones, Wrightson, Smith, et al. It could have been better if it wasn't a Heavy Metal spin-off, which, as I recall, it was. The Last Galactus story was hyped up since Marvel fandom at the time wanted a Silver Surfer story, but, unfortunately, the writing was pretty bad and the story a letdown.

As far as collecting them, I don't know how hard they are to get, but it took me AGES to find a #1 that didn't have a little snip at the bottom of the spine. I eventually found one and had it slabbed a couple years ago and it came back a 9.4.
