Tales of Suspense 32 ( unique double cover )

Yeah, because of the way the Double is placed. It will give the Outside cover grade. The Grading Bastiche says 3.5 on that one. CGC probably will not give a 2nd Cover grade but will note Double Cover. I don't know, if in this instance it would give a Qualified grade, because the Double Cover is higher grade but not complete. We really need Timely or one of the CGC graders on this one.

Using the current (and ever-changing) CGC criteria, this would likely get a Qualified Label, along with a notation about the flawed inner cover.

 

That's how CGC is handling significant production defects like this.

Wow, you can really see the effect of the the inside page's paper on the cover color in this picture:

 

I think at least part of that is due to the extra thickness of the partial second cover, and the air and dust being able to sneak in to the open space beside it.
