First Darkseid. Despite the small scan, I decided to bid, and despite the fact that it arrived in an UNSEALED manilla envelope in just a bag and board, it arrived unscathed. Small 1/8 tear on the top back cover edge.

It isn't much of a start. Just a head shot and his name in a few panels. Then again, a first appearance is a first appearance....unless the character is Wolverine, or Venom, or

8.5 to 9.0. Not sure how bad CGC would ding you for the tear. I had a Godzilla #1 (price variant) that I was sure was 9.0 or better but came back 8.0 because of a small tear like the one this comic has. Other than that it is a nice book.
