CGC grade date now available

I just noticed when you check the CGC ID serial number through the collector society site that the CGC grade date is now available; you can now tell if a book was graded recently or a few years ago.

Maybe next they could put up the graders notes too!

That has been available since the service was first introduced. Now we just have to keep pushing for grader's notes (calling CGC is kind of a hassle)

I agree. Problem is sometimes there is not much in the notes, especially for moderns (they keep saying things like it is the overall look of the book).

How do you check the grader's notes again? Can I call CGC right now and look up one of my "slabbed" books? I've never done it before.....

You call them, ask them for the grader's notes on the book and give them the serial # which is located just below the page quality on the label.

Speaking of grading dates...I believe I said in that 3PG thread that CGG hadn't made any improvements on CGC's design. That was wrong; CGG is putting a date of grading on their label.
