whats up with the top staple, hard to see in the scan. I would say 8.0 but maybe 8.5 depending on the staple

not much wrong with top staple! no rust, no tearing just very slight wear and slight misalignment. perhaps the misalignment makes it look like its sitting a little funny however this in no way undermines the integrity of the staples hold!

Front about 9.0, back about 6.5/7.0, so 8.0 seems just about right. Real nice cover.

Just few enough stress marks to keep it at 8.0 IMO....

8.5 8.0 in hand? Can't really read the "impact" you refer to.

Due to the number of stress marks which are breaking color, I'd give it an 8.0. I love that cover by the way. Great display book.
