How much of a deduction for tape on the back cover?

damn...already the front cover isn't perfect, now adding tape on the back cover...at best a 4.5?!

I'd say the piece of tape is no big deal. The rest of the book is lower grade anyway, so tape that's on the BC won't hurt what it greatly.

I don't. I grade all books on the same scale whether just off the shelf, or a GA gem. Just looks like a 3.5 to me.

I have to agree on the low side, it's not a full on VG. I'd say VG- 3.5......

 

and I'd rip that tape off nuttin flat.
