ASM 145: can't tell but is there a hint of vertical crease top edge, dead center? If not, solid 8.0, possible 8.5.

Are talking about what looks like color loss through the "m" of "comics" in the banner? Just checked that out. No wear there at all. Looks like a production issue.

143 - Strong 7.5, possible 8.0

 

145 - I don't see why people are hammering this book. Very light edgewear and a few small spine bends that can be seen from the back. Looks 8.5, maybe even a 9.0.

I seem to be good at spotting non-existant defects on your books today. Let's call the #145 8.5 then. I think it would fall just short of 9.0 due to spine wear, corner rounding FC, and ding bottom spine BC. There's also a tiny tear on upper left edge BC, though this might not exist either.
