book has a LOT of gloss, which didn't show up on the chrappy scan. schmutz at bottom staple is staple press-thru, slightly breaks colour. grading these 100 page squarebounds is tough...

Is that a reading crease at the bottom of the spine or just a bit of shelf wear/scuffing?

 

not a crease. rubbing of some sort
