First up, the inaugural issue of Atom & Hawkman. Comic is in tight VERY GOOD condition, due to spine damage and lower corner crease. Behind a killer cover by JOE KUBERT, the interior art is pencilled by MURPHY ANDERSON (marking his return to the character). $5 plus shipping.

Classic cover by JOE KUBERT. Interior Hawkman art by JOE KUBERT (pencils) and MURPHY ANDERSON (inks). In VERY GOOD PLUS condition- nice cover gloss remains, but note the subscription crease and ding in the top middle front cover. $5 plus shipping.

This one is in VERY GOOD-FINE condition. Would be nicer but for the faint subscription crease. Yet another JOE KUBERT cover. This issue is also the first Silver Age appearance of the Gentleman Ghost, basically a revival of the Golden Age Hawkman villain who was simply called The Ghost. (The character is currently being revived in the JSA comic)

Note there is a small tear (1/4") on the top back cover.

Here's the final issue of the run, behind still another JOE KUBERT cover. Slight spine roll on this one, so VERY GOOD PLUS. Trivia: The woman on the cover is JEAN LORING, gone nuts in an IDENTITY CRISIS precursor. foreheadslap.gif

Next, a couple of Silver Age Teen Titans issues, each featuring outstanding artwork by NICK CARDY. Number 13 is a Charles Dickens takeoff ("The TT's Swingin' Christmas Carol"). This one is in VERY GOOD MINUS condition-- the right edge is beginning to get a bit frayed, and the staples are discolored (no rust at all). $5 plus shipping. SOLD!

One of the nominees for Top Silver Age Cover in the contest run here late last month. This copy is in FINE condition. The cover is a NICK CARDY classic.

I should have posted this with the others. Again JOE KUBERT cover, featuring the Gentleman Ghost. The Hawkman story inside features MURPHY ANDERSON artwork. In VERY GOOD - FINE condition: It is a nice glossy copy, but it is a subscription copy with the lengthwise fold. Also, this book has some ink smearing on the back cover. Like everything else in the thread, $5 plus shipping.

Unusual Flash cover by JOE KUBERT. Interior art is by ROSS ANDRU. This is also an un-billed Green Lantern x-over. In VERY GOOD condition.

From 1968: Issue #6 of the Spectre's first series. Jerry Grandenetti pencilled the cover and the interior story. Murphy Anderson handled the inks for both. Book is in FINE MINUS condition, due to slight creases at the corners and color loss along the spine.

Next up, a mini-run of Enemy Ace stories from Star-Spangled. This is #141. Great JOE KUBERT cover and interior artwork. In VERY GOOD PLUS condition due to corner creasing, etc. Note the back cover scan is an attachment to this post.

Third of 4 Star Spangled War Stories issues I'll be posting tonight. Unfortunately, what makes this a "Special Issue" as advertised on the cover is the fact that it is mostly reprints! foreheadslap.gif

In VERY GOOD condition. Cover creases, staples getting loose (but each of the staples is still attached to the book & cover).

Last book of this run, another JOE KUBERT entry. In VERY GOOD condition: it is a subscription copy, and the bottom staple is popped. $5 BIN plus $4.05 US Prioirity Mail shipping for up to 4 books. Note: if you wish, I can put more than 4 into the same flat rate envelope to save you shipping costs-- for books in this condition, little risk of further damage during shipping. wink.gif

Ah, a break from the Joe Kubert parade. Here's a prime example of the NEAL ADAMS original Deadman run (Adams cover + interior art). Comic is in VERY GOOD PLUS-- it is nice and glossy but has a lower staple pop.
