Amazing Stories copyright info?

7 posts in this topic

I've run into a weird problem: a while back I did a small afterhours

project on computer generated labyrinths. I wrote it up in a research

paper that got accepted for a Computer Graphics journal, but now the

editors are requesting copyright permission for one of the figures (see

below). Remarkably, they noticed that it was inspired by the logo for

"Amazing Stories" and want written permission to reproduce it.

Unfortunately, I don't have an issue of AS handy and need this info by

Tuesday. If anyone has an old back issue, I would greatly appreciate if

they could post the copyright info.

Illustration below. Sorry about size. In case anyone is interested, the

black curves are computer generated to match the constraints specified

by the red curves.

Edit: agro23: Perfect, exactly what I needed! Thanks a lot for digging

up this info!!

Thanks a lot to all who helped - the copyright is sorted out now!

Completely off topic, but here's another picture just to add some content for those who looked. Same idea in 3d.

How long does it take a pro like you to play with the parameters to get the right ratios / patterns to the "skin" on a job like this? Just curious. It's very cool looking thumbsup2.gif
