when cgc starts grading mags what would a spec spiderman#2 cgc 9.8 go for?

Agreed... long run I think the big money is in the "off" titles... like Tales of the Zombie... there's just fewer people who really took good care of them...

 

On 9.4's you're looking at DHKF, and the Specs, and the KISS books, and all the Warren stuff... but when you start talking 9.8's it's whichever books have the fewest copies in grade... That's not to say that Vampirella 1 in 9.8 wouldn't be huge, but on some of the random $40-50 mags if there's ten 9.8's of a book you're getting the price of the guy who wants it tenth-most... if it's the only 9.8, then you're like greggy on free car wash night...

I remember them advertising NM copies in their 'Specials' a long time ago for $6.00 a pop. There are plenty or high grade copies around, and #1 is a much tougher to locate compared to #2, but a great painted cover and full-colour makes a big difference cloud9.gif Not to mention some green bad-dude making an appearance.
