"Mad Magazine Special Destroyed

The entire run of the Millennium Edition of Mad Magazine #1 has been oredered destroyed by DC Publisher Paul Levitz, according to Comicon.com. The trademark indicia apparently forgot the crucial words "EC Publications," the original copyright holders of the issues, instead the copyright merely reads "Originally published as TALES CALCULATED TO DRIVE YOU MAD #1 October-November 1952, Copyright 1952".

 

Some copies did make it into the distribution pipeling, but Dimaond Distributors, sent an e-mail to its customers telling them to destrpy the magazines. Another print run, with the copyright corrected will ship next week."

All those books and they couldn't make a 1939 worlds fair comics or adventure 40 or 48. Apparently Sandman and hourman are that important.
