For Deathlok...

1 post in this topic

...from Joey Q's latest interview:

DEATHLOK

Best suited for ongoing solo, limited series, or cast member?

JQ: Limited.

Why it worked/didn’t work in the past:

JQ: As a kid, Deathlok was one of my favorite new characters that came out of Marvel at the time. Just the whole idea behind Deathlok, while derivative of stuff that was already occurring in the world of sci-fi and TV, creep the hell out of me when I was but a wee lad.

What it would need to work today?

JQ: There’s still something to the idea of Deathlok that I think is very doable today, it just needs a fresh polish and a retooling of the science. Much of what made the character different to the world of comics at the time is no longer special and has been done to death. RoboCop was great in its time!

Odds of seeing a new starring project in the next 2 years:

JQ: 60%
