Actually, the less comics sold, the higher the price tag, as the comic companies know there are a certain amount of "addicts" who will buy the books at any price.

Otherwise, the new comic market would have died a few years ago.

I agree with uncle Joe.

Printing quantity has probably the least amount of cost when

figuring out a cover price. You also have to take into account

trips to various Wizard sponsored comicon's, new computers

to allow quicker downloads of porn, week old donuts and bagels

for the 'new artist' inhouse interviews, beer at the local pub to

discuss the latest greatest fight issue, and other fanboy issues.

Oh, and don't forget the new box of pencils and a new sharpener,

can't get a pencil to stick into the commercial ceiling tiles with

a dull point.......

the industry has given up on the "lower-price" strategy. remember the 99 cent comics a few years back? did nothing to induce greater sales. Comics are expensive to produce, especially given the low sales figures they can expect.

The only thing that increase sales is fior everone to start buying multiples again....

be my guest!!

I agree (did I say that?!). I think the only way to keep prices from going up even more is to get more people, not less, to buy new comics.
