Have you ever considered diversifying a bit? Wouldn't your collection be a bit more interesting if it contained comics that were DIFFERENT from each other? Hoarding 5-10 copies of a book I can just about understand, but 25-900+??? Just doesn't compute. confused-smiley-013.gif

Not if the "investment" concerns the stockpiling of very common 1968 Marvel 1s in non-investment grades. It's never too wise to put all your eggs in one basket, but this is beyond the pale, to put it mildly. grin.gif

It depends how much you pay for it. If it cost him .25 per comic then he made a great investment thumbsup2.gif

I just had a look at the GPAnalysis trend line data.

using the 2002-2006 trend line it shows the following.

CGC 9.2 (2002) $150

(2006) $270

CGC 9.4 (2002) $300

(2006) $480)

From the pictures that Cal posted a year or so ago I would say that he has probably done very well for himself.

Sure he has a lot of eggs in this basket but it would appear that he may have fallen on his feet with his method.

Just don't sell them all at once Cal.

Credit where its due, he could have done a lot worse.

Russ...

I think this is great Cal, evey time this pops up (regularly about every 6 months or so! Many people can't get their heads around it!

I done it a couple of years ago with 2 modern comics, but I would only buy the 9.6s and above CGC'd - Still got about 50 of them, it was an X-Men issue, can't remember which (1st bishop?). It got quite addictive!

It's just another form of collecting, some people only buy a specific title, some buy from an era, some even buy (which in my opinion is as weird as Cals) certain pedigrees!

Keep going mate, lets see if CGC can give you a deal on grading all the unslabbed ones, then you'll need a 3rd and 4th house to store them - 27_laughing.gif
