once we get up here with silver I feel like it's splitting hairs with a scan, even such a nice one. I see a few spine stresses on Hawkman's left calf, slight abrasion in lower and upper left corners, slight blunting in lower right.

 

Maybe some scraping or pinching or something else under the "D" in "And"? I take it the slight white ticks at the bottom of the descriptor panel in the lower right -- under the "O" in World -- is part of the drawing?

 

On my screen right now this looks to be 9.0 to me.

Looks like an easy 9.2 to me. Not sure what people are seeing to drop it into the 8s. Even 9.4s are allowed to have spine stress, which this could hit in-hand...

I agree, unless there is something I am missing (maybe a scan of the BC) I would say this is 9.0-9.2 easy.

I do see that tiny color "dent" in between the logos. Close call between 8.5 & 9.0 but I'll go with 9.0, barring anything unforeseen on the back cover.
