Actor Frank Thomas, who became famous in the 1950's for his starring role in the TV show Tom Corbett, Space Cadet, has died at the age of 85. The show aired on CBS, ABC, NBC, and the DuMont network and came up with popular phrases at the time, such as, "Blast your jets", "Don't fuse your tubes", and "Spaceman's luck". Thomas quit acting when the series ended in 1955. He was buried Tuesday, May 16, in his Tom Corbett space suit.

The only episode I can remember of the TV show was one titled CLASH OF THE MOONS, which I found on DVD in the bargin bins not long ago. I remember having one of the Tom Corbett comics. I guess there are not too many issues because I hardly see any Tom Corbett comics around. Just another bit of Americona gone. frown.gif
