Again, I stress that if you want the book done for SS ON-SITE GRADING you must get your request in as early as possible. Any requests received after noon on Saturday will be accepted as mail back only, unless it is an easily completed request.

Thanks to everyone that made WWP the strongest show yet for at-the-booth Signature Series requests. Signature Series made up about 35% of on-site grading submissions and a good chunk of the take home as well. This is by far the busiest I've been at a con for CGC Signature Series.

There were two occasions on Friday where I had to cap the line for an hour to process and sort the books that had been dropped off.

While it was a very strong show for submissions, I got the impression that WWP was a 6 man show for requests:

JOHNS (Infinite Crisis primarily)

LEE (Batman & Superman - especially RRPs, Infinite Crisis)

MCNIVEN (Civil War)

QUESADA (Wolverine: Origins)

ROMITA JR. (all over the map)

TURNER (Civil War variants, Soulfire & Fathom variants)

With, to a lesser extent:

ROMITA SR.

CONNER

MEDINA

MIDDLETON

MORALES

PALMIOTTI

ROBERTSON

and one or two others.

The most submitted title was hands down CIVIL WAR #1. The most submitted version was the ASPEN variant cover. Turner was amazed to see so many back again, as it was a complete sellout.

We were successful in getting access to almost all guests requested, with Michael Turner and Steve McNiven being the most often requested. About half of the books I submitted for people had a Michael Turner signature on them.

However, that being said, we were not able to get to Joe Quesada OR Geoff Johns. Both men did very limited signings and were not at the convention at all on Sunday and we were unable to get them done for customers.

If you submitted books for Quesada or Johns your invoices will be adjusted and you will not be charged. The books will be returned to you with the ones that were done when they are graded. (FFComics - your Quesada books remain in their CGC holders. Books were cracked out only if there was a certainty of access).

sumo.gif I comin' to Toronto now Tiz...it is on!

But seriously, how many were done last year several hundred weren't there? Don' t you think with the pre-hype on this book that specualtors and even people not interested in SS were wanting the Civil War books done? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

I think they are going to be higher jon Turner and Mcniven are alittle more accessible than miller and lee were in chicago. Keep in mind that the only reason for that is they are nice and very easy to deal with. Miller and lee and less accessable due to time constraints and autograph limits.

I hope you do come to Toronto Jon, and bring Kris with you also.

IT'S BEEN ON FOR AWHILE!!!!!! boxer.gif

As for the #'s of last year at Chicago for Miller & Lee.

Who knows, maybe Kev might have a better idea of the #'s.

But a ton of books were SSed last year in Chicago by Miller & Lee and not all of them were All Star Batman & Robin's.

As for Civil War my guess is that there were too many done.

If there not 9.9's or 10.0's 9.8's will be a dime a dozen.

hi.gif

Jon you don't call, e-mail anymore. WHAT'S UP!!!!!!

Yeah, that is what I was trying to get at...just the single book: All-Star Batman issues of #1 (RRP, Batman cvr, Robin cvr) vs. Civil War (various covers)
