eBay Auctions -- selling off my comic collection

Well I have no clue on any of those issues, but I'd be happy to have a user friendly version that I could just plunk a scan into for viewing.

 

Is there some feasibility for something like that, without the text side, just images?

 

Are you saying you have to write new -script just to plunk the images in?

 

I was hoping for just an image viewer.....

I'd have to rewrite it, which I've thought of doing anyway to make it easier to list stuff. If I get around to get a version which allows image placement without having to modify the .fla, I'll let you know.

Hi Andrew

 

A few good reasons rest with the fact that I had a son in Feb of this year, and along with the role of fatherhood came an increasing responsibility at the office. I just can't find the time to look for books like I once did.

 

Collecting for me was never really about being able to plunk down whatever amount of money on something I really wanted. For me it was about the adventure and thrill of locating stuff. The only problem is that the thrill of acquiring slowly eroded away as did my time to locate stuff. I guess I never stopped to realize until now (hundreds of long-boxes later) that I found a relative convenience and justification for spending the money I did on comics because I had less time to spend finding it.

 

I'll always be an underground comix collector, and I'll dabble a bit in mainstream, but I'll probably only keep a small percentage of what I now own. And although my posts might not always show it, I like the hobby and its people too much to turn my back on it completely.

 

I would just rather spend my spare time with my family, and let FetchComics find the stuff I need for me.
