I'm always apprehensive of any modern treatment of my favorite war characters, but I might just pick these up. I would have preferred to see more of the classic war artists work on some of them. I mean c'mon, they couldn't get Russ Heath to draw a cover? doh!

I just love that DC are continuing to make hay with these titles... I'm sure there'll be at least a few god stories and art jobs amongst them.

Nice! Is John Severin still drawing? I know Russ was last year. And it appears the Joe Kubert has a cover in there.

Well, I just finished reading this year's War Report by Matt Ballesteros, Richard Evans, Keith Marlow, and Mick Rabin. What can I say but.... :applause: Another great job done, boys. I can see more and more folks becoming interested in war books, soley on your fabulous efforts put forth there. For those that don't know where I read this, be sure to check out the 2010/11 Overstreet guide (pages 136-141). Again, very well done. (worship)

They even dropped my name and most importantly, our very own CGC boards. (thumbs u

I look forward to meeting many big 5 collectors tomorrow at the SD big five dinner. Mick invited me even though he knows I am Sgt. Fury collector first. He also knows I am long time friend of Don Mangus who is a friend of many big five collectors. Ican tell some good stories about Don.

Hasta,

Pablo

Hola All,

Russ Heath was not there. Mick said he recently ad some knee surgery and wasn't able to make the trip. Billy Tucci who did Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion was there and he brought some of his original art to peruse. He is a WWII nut and is a great War Comic aficionado as well. I will let Mick recap the list of attendees. Food was delicious.
