I just can't get into manga either; art style aside, even the more serious works tend to be very hyper-dramatic and somehow childish.

 

But I do wish we had that kind of comic readership here in America. (Heck, I don't think we have huge numbers of readers of ANYTHING, let alone comics.)

I find this to be very hypocritical and ignorant coming from a fellow collector. No offence intended. You might not like it and that is fine. Calling it childish though? Isn't that what the average person on the street would say about American comics? Don’t we say their ignorant?
