This one is very nice! One little nick at the top and a couple of stress lines.

Not sure what that vertical dark line is near the spine on the back.

 

Corners are nice and clean.

Dare I say 9.4?

I think the spine creases would make it a 9.2

 

Nice issue nonetheless.

Nice book but I think it is a 9.0 at best.

The defects Buffy mentioned above plus the edge wear on the bottom left corner keep it out of the 9.2 grade.

I've seen worse damage on 9.2s though

I'm thinking you got a 9.2 there, and only because of the spine ticks, the indent at the TEFC, the very light wear to the corners, and the contact rust stain near the lower staple, back cover.

8.0/8.5, for the reasons David mentioned. There's light wear to all the corners (none of them are particularly sharp), noticeable spine ticks, fuzziness to the lower left corner and of course, the rust stain on the back.

 

I have a FF 97 that has one noticeable spine tick (similar to yours) and one smaller one, stronger corners, no rust stain and it received a 9.2.
