LAST COMIC STANDING

Archie

I agree. Unlike most current comics - Archie sales would be little effected if comic stores all went out of business.

Last "hero" book published - probably some Batman/Superman anthology digest full of reprints.

As much as I want to say Batman or X-Men, I have to agree that Archie comics would be the last title to die out. They're popular and you can find them in drug stores and other places you can't find other comics.

Hypothetical question.

Lets say the comic book was dieing out. For some whatever reason. Which comic series, or hero's books would be the last in the stores? Which would be the LAST COMIC STANDING?

Unless you mean US comics only, Tintin or Asterix.

Archies for sure.

It still boggles the mind that DC and Marvel can't sell in locations where Archie seems to thrive.

Bring back those DC Digests at the grocery store counters! Get those Marvel Adventures on the magazine shelves in gas stations.

When the comic stores have all closed and Marvel and DC have shut down their "new comic" publishing arms, Archies will still be sitting on the retail store shelves, picked up by kids and adults alike.

Archie Tintin and Asterix ...with possibly a Spiderman being the hero title.

Actually it wouldn't be a bad thing necessarily. After maybe ten years would then go by, and hopefully someone would start up a comic similar to the old EC titles.

You could possibly see a generation that would see this new comic thingy as original and fresh. (but it won't happen)

And I'm afraid it won't be in the dimensions of a typical comic as we know it, but more like a paperback/pocketbook tongue.gif
