Hi,

 

Why is Dark Horse publishing a TPB series of Conan the Barbarian reprints and not Marvel? Did Marvel lose the rights to it?

I think so. Remember Stan Lee Media?? One of their announcements that goosed their now worthless stock was when they bought all rights to the Conan characters. Since the SLM bankrupcy, the owners (or SLM creditors) must have gotten the rights.

No..

 

It was supposed to be this grand online comics venture.

Its crashed hard in the great dotcom implosion.

 

They failed to realize people like to hold their comics when they read.

Not read them on a computer screen

The trades might be fun to pick up, but I am tight on money right now (thank goodness DH keeps their trades in stock/print for practically forever).

 

It has already been answered, but yeah...just like with Star Wars, Marvel gave up the rights to pupblish comics using Conan.
