I cant grade it due to the spine tears, help please!

Its a bugger to nail down.

The tear does go through the front cover and somewhat into the interior pages.

I cant tell if its a tear or rat chew or the plague

That's tough, because it's a very presentable copy . . .

A bit small scan (and no BC), plus it's the type of defect that needs to be seen in more detail...but the rest of the book looks 8.5 ish...maybe a 7.0 you have there....
