WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF TAPE ON COMIC BOOK PAPER?

does anyone know if tape that has been the cover of a comic for 30-40 years will eventually destroy the paper?

 

if u get tape professionally removed does CGC consider this restoration?

I would ask CGC if they consider tape removed restoration. It may depend on how the tape is removed, but I am not sure. There are a number of types of tape that tend to be seen on comics. Each of these types of tape have their own special properties, etc. Some tape will dry out and fall off the cover of the comic and other types of tape will leave a stain on the cover.
