Ink stains

I just bought a CGC Giant-Size Conan #4 that is 9.4. The case is slightly cracked which wasn't fun to find out but stranger still is the fact it has a blue ink stain on the top of the pages. It's about a 1/3 inch stain that has bled through to the front and back cover. The case has not been cracked and the seal is intact. Anyone have experience with books that have ink on the top of the pages?

That's distributor overspray, and MANY MANY MANY comics have it. It was done by comic distributors as a coding system. The vast majority of collectors don't consider it a defect unless the ink bleeding is excessive and obtrusive.

The other thing that bothered me about this book was that it was cracked on the top left hand corner and it looked like the book had been shuffed into the top of the holder and the corner was bent more than a 9.4 should be.....I'm trying to get a partial refund from the seller on eBay.
