Last week Stephanie couldn't sit up on her own, could hardly pull her self up out of her wheelchair.

And today our first day of vacation we go up to see her at the hospital and she was in her physical therepy session. So we set there and watched and chated with my brother. Now remember what I said above, pretty helpless last week but she was working her [embarrassing lack of self control] off.

While sitting there talking with my brother I seen her sitting up on the bed all by herself with out falling over, she was doing all the exercises she needs to do with her legs to keep the blood flowing and to try to get movement back (more on this in a bit). Then she not once but 6 times managed to slide herself from her bed to her wheelchair UNASSISTED! I was so shocked in the change that my brother seen my face and I qoute " yo rich close your mouth bro your gonna catch flies" Yea I was so amazed my mouth was wide open in shock.

I really dont know if I would of been as strong as she has been. This girl is acting like oh well I lost use of part of my body so what. I mean I go up to see her after a bad day at work and the smile she always has on her face just makes you realize how nice life is.

ok, ok, I'll get to the really good part..

First she gets to come home wednesday!! YEA! The hospital came to my brothers house yesterday to show him what would need to be done for her to be able to come home and be functionable (they brought Stephanie). The guy checking out the house said this walk through usually takes 2-3 hours and a few pages of notes. It took him 10 minutes and the only thing he suggested was a lower kitchen counter so she could still do dishes. Stephanie punch him. 27_laughing.gif But he was impressed with all that we have done and that the house was ready to go.

ok second of all...

She is able to wiggle her toes on her left foot!!! The specialist that did the surgery is even flying back into town tonight to check it out. I guess she has been doing it for 2 days now and can do it when ever she wants. The power of prayer. takeit.gif

So life is great with the Syndram family, and we all hope all is well with your families!!

Thank you all,

things work out just right sometimes. We cancelled our vacation and decided to hang at home and chill by the pool then we get this great news today. So now we will be home and ready to help out with the transition into the new environment.

One last thing to do which we will do one tuesday is buy a bunch of flowers and plants for the garden room we did for her. This way she will have stuff to do.

Life is good, I LOVE DAYS LIKE THIS!
