I'm new here and also new to grading, I was wondering if when the guide says "we will not open sealed mylars" they mean the factory sticker that Marvel puts on the backs of it's variant cover issues. Thanks for the help!

no, that's not what they mean at all. I sent my Civil War #1 variant in w/ the Marvel variant sticker on it and had no problem.

 

There's a difference between poly bags and mylars. Poly's are the cheap ziploc-like comic bags, whereas mylar are a little more rigid. If you only have poly's I wouldn't worry about it....

I don't know about that....the few I've sent in, I've sent in just poly bags, not mylars. I think if they're packed well enough, you just need poly's.
