I won this comic on ebay and the seller claims it as NM+ to M after wining I requested a hi res scan to see how good it looked. After get the scan I am quite unsure of the condition. I think its no where near where he claims but maybe I am being to harsh.

The book looks nice and high grade, just not ultra-high-grade. I'd guess around 9.0 for the ULC ding, depending on what the back cover looks like.

 

As a rule, seller grades of "NM+ to M" are usually an ominous sign.

I updated my post with a higher resolution image to give a beter idea of the blemishes. In the previous pic you could not see the color brakes in the bottom.

I see what you mean... maybe 8.5, maybe it would still eke out a 9.0.

 

I really hate to say this, but with your new scan the right edge of the cover looks uneven to me. Anyone else think so?

I think that's just blunting from the overhang. That issue had a LOT of production problems. I have owned a bunch of copies of that book in the past and several looked that way.

Fair enough. I thought of the overhang, but with a "NM+" seller I thought it worth pointing out just in case. And I refrained from using the T-word...
