L.A. Shrine Convention

anybody gone lately. I havent been there in a couple of years? Is it worth going to in terms of finding nice silver age stuff?

The Shrine Convention used to be such a great place to pick up nice Silver Age stuff many years ago.

 

Most dealers, comic book writers and artists became disinchanted when they started to introduce more adult content and other alternative items on the convention floor.

 

I have been talking to a few people and I know the people that run the convention are trying to turn it around bringing in more comic book focused guest appearances rather than focusing their attention on both movie and anime screenings with giveaways.

 

You would think being in LA that would be easy to get big names at the show...

 

The last decent show was last December when they had a variety of movie guests, but other than that the draw has not been there, especially since the introduction to Wizard World LA a few years ago.
