Claim that whatever mystery question you wanted answered, never got answered.

 

Bid anyway, even though you already knew something was wrong.

 

Decide after you win that you are going to show the seller for this perceived slight.

 

Don't pay, get a payment reminder e-mail from ebay, still don't pay.

 

Supposedly then after hearing nothing from seller leave negs.

 

That'll fix them.

 

Oh wait, now he negs back and files with ebay for the return of thier fees.

 

Ebay must have sent 3 nice little e-mails about what results from not paying for items, gets scared runs to CGC Forum.

 

Starts bashing ole terrible MaxStuf Comics for not sending the comics before you had paid for them.

 

Forgot to check that ole MaxStuf is board member # 322 and a perennial lurker.

I've met maxstuff in person when he had a store outside of Vegas, and he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to take time to show me some really cool stuff he had. I recall a very nice All American and a 14th century book laying around his office (maybe older?). He also had an incredible grouping of early Disney keys and other esoteric stuff. I bought a few Crown comics just because I could, and would buy from him again now that he's more on the collectors side. That is until his warehouse is constructed and he has a little help.

Did this deal ever get resolved,

 

just pay the man for the auction and I'd bet you get the books, retract the negs and get along.

I am not even upset at this guy.

 

I simply cannot fathom that this is the course of action he chose to utilize after so clear cut a case of bidders remorse, deadbeat bidding, .. what ever it is.

 

I would be happy to have this frontpaged for ever.

 

Maybe other deadbeat bidders would like to come this thread also.

 

We could make it like deadbeats anoymnous (sp)

 

Except then we can add them to our blocked bidder lists.
