Anyone out here into pulps?

27 posts in this topic

I just bought 160 (mostly science fiction) pulps mid 1940s to early 1950s. Mostly mid-grade, decent paper. I haven't catalogued them all, but 75% of them are Amazing Stories and Fantastic Adventures--probably some complete years in there. Lots of Finlay, some Murphy Anderson, good spines, great covers. I'm willing to turn them fairly cheap.

PM me if you're looking for specific issues. (No Weird Tales or Shadow)

Yeah... unfortunately, it looks like the earliest I'm finding is 1945.

Not exactly Conan, but there's a 1952 Famous Fantastic Mysteries with a reprint of Skull-Face. It's the smaller sized, but still pulp stock. I think there's one more Howard item, but I gotta find it.

Do you know what the non-sci-fi are?

There's one Doc Savage (spring 1949), a Detective Tales, Detective Story Magazine, a couple Two Complete Detective, a Triple Detective, a pair each of Adventure and Mystery Book.

No Captain Future or Super (?) Science Stories, no Startling either.

I'll get a complete list and some more scans posted soon.

DAMN! That's really cool. How much does that one go for?

***MUST NOT GET INTO PULPS. MUST NOT GET INTO PULPS***

$14 plus shipping. The gorilla story is illustrated by Murphy Anderson. It also has St. John illustrations.
