Anyone out here into pulps?

October - impossible to resist a cover like that for $14 thumbsup2.gif

I went on a pulp binge a few years back as the prices can look pretty good compared to comics. Have been selling a few off, but keeping my favorites.

Amazing Stories

All of 1949

For those who care, the Dec 1949 issue of Amazing Stories has the first professionally published story by Marion Zimmer Bradley - Outpost. That story may have appeared in a fanzine prior though.

Nice Doc Savage bear cover. One before last issue too!

There's a way to find out for yourself. One of the best sources of information

for the pulps is The Internet Speculative Fiction Database (www.isfdb.org).

It really is a treasure trove of information about dozens of pulp titles. Hunting for

Saunders gives the following:

Cover: Dynamic Science Stories, Apr/May 1939 (1939)

Cover: Planet Stories, Summer 1942 (1942)

Cover: A. Merritt's Fantasy Magazine, April 1950 (1950)

Cover: A. Merritt's Fantasy Magazine, February 1950 (1950)

Cover: A. Merritt's Fantasy Magazine, July 1950 (1950)

Cover: A. Merritt's Fantasy Magazine, October 1950 (1950)

Cover: Amazing Stories, January 1952 (1952)
