Interesting, I'll have to read that thread, or look through this thread better then. I can see that this cover does look and feel a bit different than the other early covers and possibly being a rush job seems to make sense.

This has been my lone pickup so far from the August Clink auctions. I have a raw copy in 3.0-3.5, so this was a nice upgrade, especially for the price.

I think the HA weekly auction has an 8.0 or 8.5 up right now as well for anyone else reading this thread and feeling super-envious...

 

Remember, however...one of the 10 commandments of comic collecting...though shalt not cover thy neighbor's book unless thou are out to pay the going price and not murder him for the book ( that's another commandment...).

Very impressive. The PQ gets me on this copy. I think peewee22 has a great looking raw copy.

Got the book from John R (TempusFugitivus) today...except for the abrasion/color loss at top spine corner this book is easily a 9.2...borderline 9.4!

 

The only other visible wear on the book is a couple of teeny specs of color loss at bottom spine corner and edge at the red arrow...perfect spine...perfect registration with perfectly centered staples...and white back cover and WHITE pages!

Got the book from John R (TempusFugitivus) today...except for the abrasion/color loss at top spine corner this book is easily a 9.2...borderline 9.4!

 

The only other visible wear on the book is a couple of teeny specs of color loss at bottom spine corner and edge at the red arrow...perfect spine...perfect registration with perfectly centered staples...and white back cover and WHITE pages!

I guess this is a new Bogata (New Jersey) Collection...is it a certified Pedigree Collection? Anyone know anything else of the collection? And while we're on the topic, who ultimately determines a collection to be a bona-fide Pedigree?
