ACTOR is now HERO!

Thought I'd put this out for any of you who are supporters of our cause.

Our very exciting news is that we are changing our name to The Hero Initiative on September 4.

For any of you who have websites and are interested in linking up to us, a link to our new logos, available in a variety of formats, can be found at:

http://www.fishbraingd.com/ACTOR/

Our mission remains the same—that of helping comics creators of yesteryear in medical or financial need—but we are switching to a name that helps build association in the mainstream. Inside the comics biz, everyone knows who we are, and we love our supporters. But with all the movies and media surrounding comic characters, we also want to reach the millions of fans who buy movie tickets, toys, DVDs, and so on to let them participate in taking care of the people who spawned the industry they now enjoy.

Our new website, which will reflect our new name, is:

http://www.heroinitiative.org

You can also check us out on MySpace, which I run. I try to keep our calendar there updated with news and upcoming events we will be appearing at. Show some love, add us to your friends list if you have a MySpace account, and spread the word.

Thanks for your time and support!

Makes a lot of sense. It's great what you guys do whatever you call yourselves, but I think "Hero Initiative" has a nice ring to it. Best of luck! thumbsup2.gif

BTW...the link still goes to the ACTOR site, but the new Hero Initiative site will be up later today or tomorrow.

But like you said, what ever it is called, it is a great cause thumbsup2.gif...........it's just a shame that it is needed. frown.gif
