Overflash repaired by putting a backing board under the front cover, putting a comic bag on the top and rubbing my finger on it lightly....

the edge tanning is very slight and show up as worse as I have a cheap canon scanner...

 

Try another shot at the grade....the back isn't really tanned at all, just storage slightly dirty back.

 

i have to think CGC is going to hammer that tanning. i think the book's an easy 7.0, but it could be less if my thoughts regarding the tanning is right

I'll stick with 7.5, but I could certainly see 8.0 if it's flat and glossy in hand and the tanning is minimal.

Imagine my dismay when the first two guesses were 6.0! It's an 8.0, then take a bit off for the tanning (I do not claim to know how CGC will treat that right edge). Uneducated guess: 7.5

If there's no tanning present when held in hand I could see a 7.5 as well. Damn scanners seem to be notorious for doing that on some covers.
