It just looks like someone that is new to the eBay auction format. I don't know why you would hate that - it seems to me that the more bids that there are on an item, the more interest, the more bids it attracts. He/she eventually did bid higher than the other bidders - and did raise the current price quite a bit.

 

If it had been someone with more experience, I would say they might have been EUII - eBaying Under the Influence of Intoxicants....,
