How Would You Downgrade This Defect?

OK, this book is in the 9.2-9.4 territory. The only wear is the smallest, most minor of dings at the bottom of the spine and some very, very subtle bending on the bottom edge, towards the leading edge. Back is flawless and interior is fresh and sports the whitest of pages.

 

However, there's that pen 'x' in the CCA box.

 

Question is, what would you take off for this and what would your final grade be?

Nick, i would still call it a 9.2. The x doesnt take away from the beauty of the book and it is a beaut!

Plus, where the "x" is, you dont really notice it. No harm, no foul I say.

i'm agree with Arexcrooke, x is really small,minor ding is ok with 9.2

I was thinking it would have a chance at a 9.2 (not that I'd ever get it graded), but that a 9.0 would be a stone-cold certainty. You've pretty much agreed with me on that, so thanks!
